Fans of Meteor Garden

Okay, so not only have i been obsessing over k-drama, but apparently i have been obsessing with "talking" about drama. So i was having this conversation with my friend (the camels lover there) and we were talking about going to Jeju Island because after watching so many kdrama, the island just sounds really interesting and worth the trip. Of course we also talked about going to all these different places in Seoul, and at the end, we decided that perhaps we should do a k-drama tour of korea and visit all the famous places that they filmed. At this point, I told my friend how i visited Taipei last year and in fact went to couple of the places that they filmed for Meteor Garden. This is after i got her hooked on the drama because it is good. So, i told her that i would find those pictures and show her. Since youtube is down, so i have a bit of time on my hands, so i dug through my backup cds and found the pictures.
The first set is the automobile ice-cream place that Ah Si took Shancai to on one of their dates, this was right before Shancai kissed him and told him not to move out of his house because his evil mum has come back from NY.
I realized now that i should have taken the picture from the right side of the car so that it matches with the drama. Anyhow, it's better than nothing. When we got there, they told us that this pink car has been reserved. Apparently due to the popularity of MG, people actually come in and request to sit at the same car. So reservation has to be taken, but we were allowed to sit in it to take pictures. We sat in another car booth.
The place is really cute and interesting. The owner actually shipped out a couple of these VW cars from California to Taiwan when he opened this place. The food was not bad, but a bit pricy for taiwan.

Next stop was Fisherman Whalf. This was filmed for Meteor Garden II, so if you didn't watch it, you won't know the significance of it. Shancai had many conversations with the other girl (which i can't remember her name at the moment)at this bridge or under the bridge. The place is really not that big, and we wanted to get there to watch the sunset. I heard that's what they are famous for, but we weren't able to make it there in time for the sunset cuz it's kinda FAR. I really like this place, partly cuz i just love bridges and it was really nice to finally be near the ocean instead of all the shopping malls.
You can see the bridge once you get off the taxi or the bus from the train station. It's about a 15 minutes taxi ride from the train station.
This is taken closer to the bridge, and it does feel like we are at a fishing place. Smells like it.

The third picture:Front of the bridge. A lot of people are here taking a leisure walk around the area.
The fourth picture:Back of the bridge. There are restaurants and shops around here. It's a cute little town. Not much happening, and it was a nice night. In case you are wondering why i am so "bundle up", it's because when we were there for the weekend. It was actually a record low for taipei. It was a really cold new year's eve. But it got much warmer by the second day.

Okay, this isn't where Ah Si was chasing Shancai when she was riding the bus, BUT it does look a bit like it right? Well, i just like the street.
Hope you enjoyed my "mini" photos trip of Taiwan. I saw a bit more than that, but it was a short trip. Lots of eating.. maybe if i have time, i'll post up some pictures of the food we ate there.. It was really good..
