It's already August?
Wow, I can't believe I haven't post a single entry for the month of August. This month went by really fast.
I spent the first two weeks of August in NYC. It was an exhausting two weeks. So many things to do and so many people to see and so many things happened. I have been telling people that my four weeks trip to NY every year is like work and the other 48 weeks in LA is the real vacation for me. I can be really lay back here and not have to do much and won't feel bad when i am not doing much. I can enjoy being by myself and not feel "obligated" to be somewhere or do something.
My flight back to LA was a long flight. Six hours airtime, and one hour of sitting on the runway for them to find us a port to taxi. Security was tight, and i probably only have 4 hours of sleep that night. Had to throw away my shampoo, conditioner, and contact solution because of the new policy. They won't even allow us to bring water that was purchased in the airport onto the plane. It was really strict. My friend from church came to pick me up and the poor guy (along with his son) circled LAX a couple of times because I was sitting on the plane on the runway. I didn't even check in my bag because i wanted to be able to get off the plane ASAP. So my friend picked me up and we had lunch then i came home. Then i spent the rest of the day unpacking, took a short nap, then went to my friend's house for dinner. Hung out there for a bit, then came home. Then the next day, i was going to drop by another friend's house to do laundry and to water her plants. But then i ended up staying at home all day cuz i was so tired, and i was coming down with an ear inflection. So i decided to take it easy and just rested up.
The rest of the week was somewhat uneventful (as compared to NY). Went to work for a couple of hours, did a couple of loads of laundry, worked some more, cleaned the apt, grocery shopped since there is nothing in the fridge, cleaned the fridge cuz a lot of food spoiled from the last couple of weeks. Housechurch on friday, then i slept over, watched a movie with the kids today, then got a flat tire when i was leaving my friend's place, ended up driving her car home and here I am sitting in front of the computer. This is my first week back. Exhausted, burry and tired.
